People living in a road on the city outskirts are still waiting for a sinkhole to be repaired – more than a MONTH after it first appeared.
Those living nearby say the damage in Ringland Road has led to a lane along the busy carriageway being closed, causing traffic chaos in the area.
Norfolk County Council said that work on repairing the sinkhole, caused by a collapsed culvert, will not start until the end of this week.
And the road, which links to the A47 and the N&N, will not be fully open until the end of next week at the earliest.
Caroline Karimi-Ghovanlou, chairman of Taverham Parish Council, said: "The council and highways should be held to account and sort this out - but they're a law unto themselves.
"The road is linked to the A47 and the hospital, so it's making people have to go the long way, what with all the other roadworks going on in the area as well.
"Ringland being closed has compounded the issue because it should have been finished by now, but now it's making things worse.
"There's roadworks popping up constantly - I don't know what they're planning.
"You see other countries which can build a bridge in a couple of weeks and we can't even fill a hole in the road.
"I've seen so many complaints online about it.
"People see all these signs and temporary traffic lights up but nobody is actually working - it's so frustrating."

The county council confirmed it will be reinstalling dams to get the site dry so work can begin.
It said: "We aim to start repairing the damaged culvert on Thursday or Friday, with reinstatement of the carriageway taking place early next week.
"On this timeline, we hope the road will be open to traffic again towards the end of next week."
Ringland Road initially shut on May 13, a day after the sinkhole appeared, due to a collapsed culvert.
Norfolk County Council put an emergency road closure in place near the Ringland bridge and put diversions in place.
