A 10-year-old boy with an "entrepreneurial flair" has launched his own business.

Hugo Solly from Hethersett decided to set up his own company called Gimme Sweets and has "learnt a lot along the way".

The primary school student with a "business spirit" has been managing bank accounts, insurance and market research with the help of his family to sell his sweet mixes.

Jennifer, Hugo's mum, shared that her son has "always been business-minded" and has "really enjoyed everything" about starting up his firm.

"It's been a long process and he's been learning at every stage," she said. "We’re a family of entrepreneurs so it didn’t come as a huge surprise when he told us he wanted to take the challenge on.

“A typical kid, he's a big fan of sweets but he's always been interested in making money."

Hugo is currently looking into getting a website set up but has created an Instagram page called GimmeSweetsUK which shares his business journey.

The company's 'OG Mix' of sweets features classics such as foam bananas, cola bottles, chocolate ice cream cones and jazzies.

“It's getting him ready for the real world, all of his friends are so excited, the school is really impressed and he's going to do an assembly talk," Jennifer added.
