Martin Lewis has paid tribute to Anthony Hill after a body was found during the search for the missing primary school teacher.

The body was discovered in an area off Heathgate, close to Mousehold Heath, in Norwich shortly before 8pm on Thursday.

While formal identification is yet to take place, the family of 37-year-old Mr Hill has been informed.

The father-of-two was last seen leaving his home address in Plumstead Road East at 7.45am on Monday.

CCTV images later released by police showed him in the Co-op shop in Sprowston Road at around 10am the same day.

Mr Hill worked for Mr Lewis' website, MoneySavingExpert.com, for almost six years before leaving to pursue a career in education and working at St William's Primary School in Thorpe St Andrew

In a social media statement on X (formerly Twitter), Mr Lewis said: "It's with a heavy heart I share this. My love to Ant's wife Kayleigh and their little girls.

"It's the worst news. I'm so sorry for all Ant's friends and his little pupils.

"I will remember you fondly Ant. Also thanks to the thousands of you who shared the posts while Ant was missing, I know it gave succour to his family."

Mr Lewis had helped raise awareness of his former colleague's disappearance in an emotional plea shared to his 3.1 million followers on X.

Norfolk Constabulary has confirmed the death is not believed to be suspicious and said a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.
