Two nurses at a city hospital have been awarded prestigious national honours.
Trudy Garriock and Ngoni Kasanga, both from Spire Norwich Hospital, received Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) Awards from NHS England on Tuesday.
Specialist breast care nurse, Ms Garriock, was awarded a gold CNO, while East of England Hub pre-operative assessment lead, Mr Kasanga, earned a silver.
The CNO awards acknowledge the impressive work of nurses in England who go beyond their daily tasks to offer excellent care.

Ms Garriock has dedicated more than five decades to Norfolk's nursing.
Michelle Briggs, director of clinical services at Spire Norwich Hospital, said: "Her determination, dedication, and drive always to place the patient at the centre of what she does is such a wonderful representation of why she was born to do the job she does and dedicate her whole life to nursing.”
Mr Kasanga is appreciated for his methodical, calm and nurturing approach.
Tessa Frosdick, interim hospital director at Spire Norwich Hospital, said: "A fantastic achievement and a huge well done to Trudy and Ngoni on behalf of the whole hospital."
