People can delve deeper into the world of theatre this summer with an exclusive glimpse behind the scenes.

Norwich Theatre is holding its annual open day on Saturday, August 24.

Visitors can enter for free and explore on stage, backstage, under the stage and in the dressing rooms where stars have prepared for shows.

A variety of activities will be on offer including talks from the tech team, drop-in sessions to share work with local artists and face painting.

Guests can also try on some costumes from previous pantomimes and tick off each activity on the family trail list as they go.

The day will run from 10am until 3pm and the Café Royal will be open throughout the day to serve a selection of hot and cold drinks.  

Stephen Crocker, Norwich Theatre's chief executive and creative director, said: "Norwich Theatre Open Day is one of my favourite days in our calendar.
