A family-run Thai restaurant in the city has opened its 'secret garden' for outdoor dining this summer.

Mango-T in Orford Hill has revealed its newly decorated Thai-inspired terrace with colourful flower arrangements and decorations.

The dining spot offers seating in a private setting which is redesigned each summer and inspired by the family's backyard in Thailand.Phurita Phimolmas, Mango-T in Orford Hill, Norwich Phurita Phimolmas who designed that garden a Mango-T  (Image: Lily Boag)Mango-T in Orford Hill, Norwich Phurita Phimolmas at Mango-T in Orford Hill (Image: Lily Boag)

The restaurant is run by Thanida Naroewutthanul and her husband Thutchakorn Naroewutthanul, with their niece Phurita Phimolmas, who redecorates the garden each year.

This year's revamp includes hanging flower baskets, a sunflower trellis, string lights and colourful plant pots, with reclaimed wooden delivery crates and handmade flower tubs.

"We decided to use reusable materials to create something new, this summer we wanted to do something different," Miss Phimolmas said

"We've thought more carefully about our designs, with lots of different flowers to combine a traditional English garden with a Thai garden - it's a fusion of both.

"People are always surprised when they see the space."

The unveiling of this summer's garden follows refurbishment works in April to provide a "fresh chapter of dining" at the restaurant after 10 years in business.
