Folk living near a £1m revamp project are concerned the area is "an accident waiting to happen" thanks to some builders' parking.
It comes after work started earlier this year on the former Viking pub, in Sprowston, to turn it into a multi-purpose community venue.
Jessica Brown, who lives near the Tills Road site, says the corner in and out of the estate has become dangerous because of builders parking on the grass verge.
Mrs Brown said: "As soon as work started there in mid-February it's been an issue.
"It was covered in cars and vans, with contractors just sitting there, parked right up to the edge.
"Because of this, it's made where they're parked a blind corner and very dangerous.
"Children use this neighbourhood as a cut-through, from the school to Old Catton, so it's dangerous for cars trying to leave the estate.
"Personally I've nearly hit somebody going round there.
"I've also seen an elderly woman on a mobility scooter forced into the road, trying to stick as close to the verge as possible.
"There are pushchair users either having to go into the road or slalom through the vehicles on the verge.
"If you try and say something the workers clearly don't care.

"We all understand they have to get materials in and out, but it can block the entire road off and you can't get around safely.
"It's an accident waiting to happen."

After contacting the county council in March, Mrs Brown said the issue stopped for "three or four weeks" but has since started again.
Norfolk County Council and contractor Draper and Nicholls were contacted for comment.
Sprowston Town Council bought the building in May 2021 and lodged plans in 2022 to turn the former pub and Royal Bengal restaurant into a community venue.
The work is due to be finished by November this year.
