Staff at an award-winning boutique are preparing to close its doors for the final time.

Kate Harrowven, who owns Little Boutique in Wymondham, has decided to shut the clothing and accessories shop after seven years.

This comes with the news that the business is no longer on the market after Kate put it up for sale last year.

"After many discussions and much thought, I have decided that I am not quite ready to pass the business over just yet," she said.

"However, there will be some changes.

"From the end of July, I will be taking it 100pc online meaning that from August, Little Boutique will no longer be in Fairland Street.

"After seven fantastic years of support and friendships, it's going to be a huge change for all of us including the incredible ladies who have been with me over these years."

The news follows the closure of Reno Refills in June which raised alarm from locals that the town's high street was struggling to survive.

However, Kate has decided to take the business online to manage her time with her 15-month-old child and has confirmed that new tenants are already lined up to take Little Boutique's place in Fairland Place.

"It's going to be easier for me to manage around my young family," she said.

"I hope you can all understand.
