Six weeks of open-top bus adventures are set to launch to allow visitors to see Norwich from a "new perspective".

First Bus is now offering a "fabulous scenic cruise" aboard an open-top bus to tour the city from a special viewpoint.

The City Clipper 100 will provide the public with a chance to enjoy a "relaxing circular ride" around all of the best sights of the city.

Travellers can hop-off at any of the 12 stops on the bus route to explore the streets on foot before catching another bus later in the day.

The new line follows after Norwich's Sightseeing Tours, the popular red open-top busses which explored the city for 21 years, announced it would cease its services "indefinitely" after the death of its founder.

First Bus have said its "carefully chosen route" will ensure visitors can see the best that Norwich has to offer "like you’ve never seen it before".

The route will include must-see destinations like the castle and cathedral, to lesser-known spots like the medieval Bishop Bridge or the historic Quayside.

Guests on board will be able to enjoy two commentaries which will alternate on trips.

The bus services will run every hour from 9.30am to 4.30pm, seven days a week from July 20 to August 31.

A City Clipper timetable guide and map is available via the First Bus website.

All City Clipper bus tickets are valid for travel all day so you can hop-on and hop-off as much as you like while you explore.

Adult tickets cost £10 and children's tickets cost £8.

Group tickets are also available at £30 for up to five people and a maximum of two adults.

Tickets can be purchased from the bus driver or in advance on the First Bus app.

The ticket also allows you to travel on any other buses inside the Norwich Inner zone for the day.
