A city Chinese takeaway business is up for sale.

The New Welcome Chinese Takeaway in Bull Close Road has hit the market for £228,000 after suddenly closing earlier this year.

The business has served locals for the last 15 or so years and is now being sold after a short closure following the death of a family member.

The shop has been described as a "very rare" freehold opportunity on commercial property website Rightbiz.

It also has on-site accommodation.

A refurbishment was started on the property but never finished due to the sudden closure and ceasing of trade.

While the space is established as a Chinese takeaway, the application states that the business "offers the potential for various uses, subject to any necessary planning permissions for change of use."

It is also described as "attractively priced for a quick sale".

New Welcome's latest four-star hygiene rating is from June 2023.

Anyone interested in the property should contact Rightbiz to arrange a viewing.
