Uncertainty surrounding the future of one of Norfolk's most popular fairs has ended as the date for the 2025 event is announced.

The organisers of Costessey Fete and Fayre have confirmed it will be held again at the Norfolk Showground in September next year.

Despite nearly 20,000 flocking to the event last May, its future looked uncertain due to it being held close to the date of another big fair at the same venue.

Event organiser and Liberal Democrat councillor for Costessey, Gary Blundell, said: "The date has been moved as the Norfolk Showground is an extremely popular venue and our normal fete weekend was very close to another big fair.

"However, next year's should be bigger and better, as we have asked for more space than ever before and hope to bring in more attractions.

"It is still early days but we are already having potential stallholders approach us."

The fete, which will be held on Saturday, September 20 and Sunday, September 21, 2025, will also feature a firework and laser display in the evening.

"We are always open to new ideas so if anyone wants to get in touch then please do," Cllr Blundell said.
