A new festival with a world-renowned music artist is heading to a city park next month.
Afri-Fest East will be held at Chapelfield Gardens on August 10 from 11am to 10pm with live music, dance performances, costumes and workshops.
The event celebrating African culture has been deemed the first festival of its kind in East Anglia.
The festival will have daytime and evening sessions with the latter featuring world-renowned artist Not3s performing hit tracks such as My Lover, Aladdin and Just Fine.
Live band performances will lead to African storytelling and visitors can experience East African culture through a display of costumes, drumming and singing.
Various games such as ludo, ayo (Mancala), draft, African tahti, and chess will be played.
