The team behind one of Norwich's favourite cocktail bars has announced its next project in the city centre.

The Tipsy Jar cocktail bar is set to expand as plans for its "little sister" have been revealed.

Owners Laura Whatling and Ellie Fennell have shared the news of the city's newest bar after an "enjoyable" two and a half years in Redwell Street.

"It will still be very cocktail-focused as that is what we know best! " said Ellie.

"It will have the same team ethos of great drinks and service at Tipsy Jar but will be a totally different style - more of a hidden bar with a speakeasy feel.

"There will be classic cocktails and, of course, plenty of our own L A Mixology recipes, made using our house infusions and syrups."

The name J. Doe and Co. is a nod to the "secret" style of the bar, which is also branded as a "library parlour."

Tipsy Jar will remain open and operating as usual as the business expands.

J. Doe and Co. will open its doors for the first time on Thursday, July 25.
