From the colourful march to a jam-packed entertainment programme, here is all you need to know ahead of Norwich Pride 2024.
When is Norwich Pride 2024?
Norwich Pride returns to the city centre for its 16th year on Saturday, July 27 2024.
What time is the march and what is the route?
The Norwich Pride march leaves City Hall at 1pm and participants are encouraged to gather from 12.30pm.
It is a symbol of protest, visibility and strength in numbers, headed up by flags held by local grassroots groups and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
After this are people with accessibility needs, with assistance dogs welcome, followed by sponsors and then The People's March which anyone can join.
The route is as follows: City Hall, Gaol Hill, Exchange Street, Bedford Street, London Street, Davey Place, Gentleman’s Walk, Haymarket, Theatre Street and Chapelfield Gardens, where it heads to the Main Stage.
There are points along the route where you can leave the march early.

Will there be any road closures?

Is Norwich Pride accessible to watch?
Yes, there will be a designated accessible viewing space on the balcony of the Theatre Royal.
In Chapelfield Gardens, there will be an accessible space in front of the Main Stage called Dean's Den for wheelchair users and people who need a clear view of the BSL signer.
What else is going on during the day?
There will be entertainment and activities at various locations including Chapelfield Gardens, The Forum and along Theatre Street.
Other highlights include a Norwich Pride After Party at The Waterfront, drag bottomless brunch at Pogue Mahon's and comedy from Alex Gibbon at The Bowling House.

How can I get to Norwich Pride?
Norwich Bus Station and Railway Station are both within walking distance of the city centre.
There are various car parks near the march start and end points, including The Forum and Chantry Place.
Make sure to check for any road closures before you set off.
