There has been a large police presence in Costessey this morning.
People living in the area reported hearing sirens at around 6.30am.
The Costessey Centre in Longwater Lane is shut and around four police vehicles are parked at the site, including one forensics van.
A centre staff member who was helping to redirect cars from the entrance said: "There was a police incident here last night and we've been asked to keep people out. That's all I can say."
Other witnesses said people were being prevented from walking through Longwater Lane Park earlier.
The nature of the incident currently remains unknown but Norfolk Constabulary has been contacted for comment.
