Several bus services will be diverted in the coming weeks due to roadworks in Norwich.

First Bus has said some lines will face "severe alterations" as works take place across the city.

Due to resurfacing works on University Drive at the University of East Anglia and the closure of Bluebell Road, a diversion will be in place from July 29 to August 8.

The Blue Line and Costessey Park and Ride services will be subject to a major diversion.

The 25 will serve South Park Avenue and Bluebell Road as normal, proceeding along The Avenues and turning left on to Colman Road.

It will then run down Earlham Road and terminate at the Park Gates entrance, instead of within the university itself.

The 26/26A service will operate along Earlham Road as normal but will not serve Colman Road, The Avenues or Bluebell Road.

It will instead continue on Earlham Road to the university via Chancellors Drive and then to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and Bowthorpe.

Costessey Park and Ride services will serve the National Express layby stop on Chancellors Drive alongside the Enterprise Centre stops.

All stops will be served on diversion routes during the closures.

Due to works on the Thorpe Road bus gate, all Blue Line services after 8pm will need to use different stops at Norwich Rail Station on August 5.

"Extensive delays" caused by work on the A146 at Trowse and Martineau Lane will see services diverted via the A47 and A140 in both directions until the end of August.

The X1, X11, X2, X21 and X22 Charcoal Line will be diverted through Arminghall.

The 40/41/X41 will be diverted via Trowse and Arminghall and the 39 will not serve Cavell Road towards the city from Hall Road between 8am and 6.30pm.
