A forest school and nursery has bounced back from a one-star hygiene rating after "working hard" to address its issues.

Dandelion Education was stunned to learn it had received a one-star food hygiene rating after an inspection on March 13.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said the site required "major improvement" regarding its management of its food safety.

However in a recent reinspection the school confirmed it had been given a four-star rating.

The result has come as a huge relief to the site with Emma Harwood, managing director and co-founder, saying: "We've been reinspected and got four stars which, for an outdoor setting, is excellent.

"Our nursery managers, Benjamin and Aaron worked incredibly hard to address all of the issues in the original inspection."

The previous rating was said to have stemmed from "some issues with the paperwork" but leaders were confident that the reinspection would see it "back to its high standards".
