Police have blocked off a city street for an ongoing incident.
The cordon is raised in West Pottergate just after the Grapes Hill underpass in the NR2 area of the city.
A large emergency presence remains at the scene including armed police officers.
Three air ambulance rapid response vehicles also attended the scene with a privacy tent being raised in the centre of the cordon.
Officers are reportedly using a drone and police dogs to search the area, although the nature of the incident is currently unclear.
Mr Taylor, an eyewitness who is alleged to have seen the incident said: "I saw them treating someone with a chest injury at around 7.15pm.
"There was an active search going on with officers searching bins in the area for a suspect."
