Work is set to begin on a huge doctors surgery in the city outskirts.
Thousands will soon have access to a new health facility as work starts on the Rackheath Medical Centre.
Heavy machinery and construction equipment are set to arrive at the site on Monday, August 5, with construction starting the following day.
Once completed, the health centre could have space for more than 10,000 patients, including those moving into the upcoming housing developments in Rackheath and at Beeston Park.
Darwin Group, a healthcare facility developer, is behind the construction, which will consist of 45 pre-built modules and make up 16,000 feet of internal floor space.
According to the developer's management plan, roads will not be blocked during the work: "Under no circumstances will restrictions on site access be undertaken in a way that leads to displaced parking or vehicles waiting on the street or hospital access roads."
Due to the nature of the building, the Darwin Group is currently predicting that the construction will be finished by spring 2025.
