Plans for a new cafe and bar in Norwich have emerged.
Loungers, which owns Lounge Cafe Bars and the Cosy Club brand, could soon move into an empty ground-floor space on the banks of the river.
The company has applied for a premises license for the newly completed St Anne's Quarter, just a stone's throw from the Riverside entertainment area.
Under the plans, around 2,000 sq ft of the indoor area will be transformed into a dining space, with a large outdoor area available to diners in the summer.
The cafe and bar will be open from 8am until after midnight daily.
Loungers could also be serving alcohol at the site between 10am and midnight, with hot food and hot drinks (classified as 'late night refreshment') available between 11pm and half past midnight.
A spokesman for Loungers said: "We are in advanced negotiations on a site in St Anne’s Quarter, Norwich – it’s a great area and we are hopeful to join the local community by opening a Lounge and creating between 30-40 new jobs.

"Nothing is totally confirmed yet, however, for every Lounge we open, it’s important to us that we give back to the community – we partner with local charities to raise funds, our spaces are used for meetings of local groups and businesses, and we encourage customers to use us as a community hub.
"We hope to have more info on the site in the St Anne’s Quarter, soon."
The new cafe and bar will be the second site that Loungers owns in the city after the Cosy Club in London Street opened in 2019.
While no opening date has been released, the company has applied for the license to start on August 29, 2024.
