A Grade II listed home designed by a famous architect, complete with a blue plaque, has been listed for sale in Norwich.
Holkham House is being sold with a guide price of £475,000 through estate agents Savills Norwich.
Arranged over 1,125 sq ft, the townhouse is believed to date back to around 1720.
The building was designed by Matthew Brettingham, famous for being one of the architects involved in the construction of Holkham Hall and for restoration works to Norwich Castle and Norwich Cathedral.
The house was built for Brettingham's brother Robert and later split into three homes.
Featuring original Georgian features such as sash and arched windows, a turned bannister, pamment tiled flooring and fireplaces, the property has retained much of its original charm.
Arranged over three floors, the ground floor contains an entrance hall, reception room, kitchen and shower room.
The kitchen offers a bespoke wooden wall and base-level units with an inset Butler sink.
Off the hallway is a wet room containing a shower, toilet and sink.
The first floor is home to the sitting room and guest bedroom, and the second floor comprises of the principal bedroom, family bathroom and a smaller room which could be used as an office or dressing room.
The first floor sitting room boasts an impressive, highly ornate plasterwork ceiling as well as a feature white marble chimneypiece and overmantel which includes an original oil painting.
Property agent Tom Clayton said: "With a wonderful history connected to one of Norfolk's most important houses, this is a fine townhouse offering an amazing lifestyle."
