Drivers have been warned of disruption due to the closure of a road near a school.

Bawburgh Road in Easton will be closed from September 2 as Norfolk County Council carries out roadworks.

The road will be closed between Easton Bridge School and Easton Gymnastics Club until September 20.

Access to the school will be diverted to the northern end of Bawburgh Road and people can entry gain to the gymnastics club from the south.

The project, estimated to cost £99,350, will see the road widened to fulfil a planning condition of the development of Bridge Easton School.

The scheme is funded by the Department for Education, with work being completed by Norfolk County Council’s Infrastructure Department and its contractors.

It will begin south of the existing work currently under way by Persimmon Homes which started to build 291 new homes in Easton in June.
