Norwich's newest Thai restaurant has announced big savings for customers when it opens its doors later this month.

The national chain Rosa's Thai revealed it will launch its first East Anglian branch in the former Byron Burger in Chantry Square on September 23.

After humble beginnings as a street food stall at Brick Lane's Sunday market in London, the first bricks-and-mortar site opened in Spitalfields in 2008.

It was born out of founder Saiphin Moore's passion for serving authentic Thai food in a casual setting.

The menu includes dishes such as chicken satay, spring and summer rolls, noodle soups and curries.

Visitors during the restaurant's "soft launch" period at the end of September will see some big savings with 50pc off the food bill as staff get the hang of things.
