A pop-up festive shop is returning to the city centre for its 59th year and it will be open for two months.

The Original Norwich Charity Christmas Card Shop will be back in St Peter Mancroft Church, opposite The Forum, from October 15 to December 14 2024. 

It will be open from Monday to Saturday from 10.45am until 3pm and around 100 volunteers staff it.

The items for sale include cards, which are available individually and in packs, calendars, wrapping paper, tags and other seasonal items.

It will raise money for 28 charities, including East Anglia's Children’s Hospices, Break and Norwich Samaritans. 

More than £45,000 was raised in 2023 and since it first launched the total is almost £2m.

There will be a raffle of Christmas hampers to cover the costs of running the pop-up shop.

A spokesperson said: "The fun and friendship generated lasts throughout the years and we are so proud that our efforts have to date raised a figure fast approaching £2m."
