Talks to takeover Wensum Lodge are heating up after the site has seen "good interest" from several parties.
The lodge, which had previously hosted adult education courses since the 1960s, is garnering interest after being put on the market with Brown and Co last summer.
With talks in full-swing the King Street site could soon receive a second chance.
Andrew Haigh, commercial surveyor at Brown and Co, said: "We've received a lot of good interest and are currently speaking to some interested parties about the site."

After the council put the site up for sale, local groups had until early April to come up with bids to take over the city centre building after it was declared an asset of community value.
But none were forthcoming before the deadline, so the building was put on the market with Brown & Co estate agent.
Courses at the centre stopped at the end of last year and most are now run at other venues.
The council's decision to shut the centre sparked controversy, protests and the creation of a Friends of Wensum Lodge group to fight for its future.
Norfolk County Council were contacted for comment.
