Enjoy beers and bratwurst at these Oktoberfest 2024 events happening in Norfolk. 

This world-famous festival was first held in Germany in 1810 to celebrate the future King Ludwig I getting married. 

A huge Oktoberfest event takes place annually in Munich.

1. Yalm

Oktoberfest returns to Yalm for a second year and they have imported twice as much beer from Germany.

There will be special dishes from all eight food vendors, including pretzels and bratwurst, and The Oompah Band will kick off the festivities at 6pm on September 26.

2. Epic Studios

Norwich's biggest Oktoberfest party will feature live music from The Bavarian Strollers and NightTrain.

Enjoy a selection of authentic Bavarian beers served in steins plus bratwurst, with meat and vegan options, and fancy dress is encouraged.

3. Duration Brewing

This three-day festival, raising money for the Norwich City Community Sports Foundation, will take place in the taproom with 10 special beers on draught.

The Rhythm Travellers will perform an Americana, blues and jazz set at each session and there will also be street food, games and a raffle.

4. The Warehouse Taproom, Bar and Restaurant

There will be a German lager tap takeover alongside bratwurst, pretzels and other themed meals.

The drinks are supplied by the neighbouring business Beers of Europe and there will also be live music.

5. Sir Toby's Beers

Where: Norwich Market, NR2 1ND

When: September 26-28, 6.30pm-10pm 

Price: Table bookings: £10-£50 (exclusive Casita hire available) 

Sir Toby's Beers' 'Oktobyfest' returns to Norwich Market with a three-day Bavarian celebration. 

The aisles of the market will be lined with benches and tables and you can enjoy German draught and bottled beers, with a selection from Munich breweries, alongside food from Henry's Hog Roast. 

There will also be a German beer-tasting event on September 25.

6. Ampersand Brew Co

Head to this south Norfolk brewery to celebrate Oktoberfest, with fancy dress welcome. 

Ampersand will be pouring its Gold annual harvest lager and Altitude Altbier, with guest German festival beers available too.

7. The Gangway and The Lines End

Where: Station Approach, Sheringham NR26 8RA

When: September 27-28

Price: Free entry

These neighbouring businesses, located a stone's throw from the mainline station and opposite the North Norfolk Railway, will host joint Oktoberfest celebrations. 

The beers will include brews from Munich-based Paulaner and they plan to offer food. 

The Lines End pub opened in the former home of The Quarter Deck bottle shop and restaurant in August.
