The award-winning comedy play ART has been raising questions about friendship and modern art for the last 30 years.
Written by Yasmina Reza and first performed in Paris in 1994, the latest UK tour arrived at Norwich Theatre Royal on Thursday.
With skilled acting from comedian Seann Walsh, Chris Harper (Call the Midwife, Coronation Street) and Aden Gillett (The Crown, The House of Elliot), the play begins when Serge buys a large white painting for £200,000.
His long-time friend Marc can't cope with the purchase and, after insulting the piece, their friendship descends into a downward spiral.

Walsh, who recently made his stage acting debut in Twelfth Night, is fantastic as the eccentric and amenable Yvan, who is seemingly caught in the middle of his two friends as they argue about the painting.
In one scene, Walsh delivers a thrilling and funny monologue as he rants about the invitations to his upcoming wedding.
There are also a lot of serious and painful elements as the men realise they have changed as people.
While the play, with a short runtime of 90 minutes, was enjoyable overall, it did feel a little dated.
For a comedy, I also found it amusing rather than laugh-out-loud hilarious.
ART is at Norwich Theatre Royal until September 14 - book tickets at norwichtheatre.org
