An Indian restaurant in Norwich is celebrating its first anniversary by offering a 50pc discount on food. 

Bombai opened at 38-40 St Benedicts Street, in the former home of The Bengal Spice, in September 2023.

It is owned by business partners Sheikh Ashraf Ali, Sheikh Affsor Ali, Sheikh Sunwar Ali and Nishant Murria.

Their portfolio also includes The Merchants of Spice along Colegate in Norwich and its sister restaurant in Thorpe St Andrew. 

On Sunday, September 22 from 5.30pm, they are offering a 50pc discount on food at Bombai to celebrate its first anniversary. 

The street food-style menu includes roadside 'dhaba' curries, tandoori dishes with marinated meats and an array of small plates.

Mr Murria said: "We have been really busy over the last year and have had great feedback - customers like that our menu is unique. 

"Thank you to all our customers for their support and we are now looking to open a second Bombai in Cambridge."
