A Wymondham-based art store has been selected to exhibit at a major UK regional art fair.

UrbanArtStore, established in 2023, has been chosen from international submissions for Art Fair East's 10th edition.

The fair is set to take place at The Assembly House, Norwich, from November 8 to 10.

UrbanArtStore's founder, Lee Webster, said: "We are thrilled to have been selected for Art Fair East 2024.

"This will be a chance to reach new audiences with our work and we are excited to be showing in a fair that has already exhibited international names like Banksy and Nando Kallweit.

"We plan on displaying artworks themed around urban art representing artists from around the world."

Art Fair East's co-founder, Will Teather, said: "We are delighted to have UrbanArtStore taking part in our 2024 event.

"We always have more submissions than we can accommodate, which ensures that the quality remains high."

Art Fair East, founded and curated by established artists Will Teather and Brian Korteling, is now in its 10th year.

It has become one of the leading regional fairs in the country, showcasing contemporary art from the UK and overseas.

The 2023 fair attracted thousands of visitors from around the country.

Despite being a new store, UrbanArtStore's founder Lee Webster has been buying and selling art for more than 20 years.

He recalls the days of purchasing Banksy works for £70 in Brighton.

The store's main ethos is to remove the stifling perception of a gallery and interact with buyers and artists alike.

They aim to work with emerging artists, providing a platform for them to go on to other projects.

UrbanArtStore is also collaborating with a Wymondham-based chilli company, with art provided by Mason Storm, who has previously worked with Banksy.
