Summer might be coming to an end but the sun is still making an appearance now and then.

So, why not treat the family to one last adventure out in the sun? Here are five exciting days out before winter strikes roll in. 

1. Norwich Castle

A full day to explore the museum is a must with how many different exhibits they have with many more on the way.

They also offer lots of interactive experiences for children of any age, making a fun day out into a day of learning excitement.

2. Wild swimming in the Norfolk Broads

The Broads is one of the best spots in all of Norfolk if you love the outdoors (Image: PA) If you love being close to nature, enjoying all that the countryside has to offer then the Norfolk Broads is a must-day out.

Home to more than a quarter of Britain's rarest animals and plants, it is best explored by boat, kayak, sail or paddle.

The Broads is also known for its beautiful spots to stop for a bite to eat and drink, housing classic British pubs and restaurants. 

But make sure you are allowed to take a dip - and it is safe! 

 

3. BeWILDerwood

Found just along Horning Road Hoverton, BeWILDerwood offers a huge forest and outdoor adventure just a stone's throw away from Acle.

Packed with wobbly paths boat rides and storytelling throughout, every member of the family will enjoy a truly wild day out. 

4. Great Yarmouth's Golden Mile

If sea creatures interest you, the beach also houses a boat trip to the nearby Scroby sands to see the seals and a Sealife Centre with hundreds of species.

Lined with attractions to suit any mood, grab a fresh doughnut or ice cream and walk along the lit-up beach stretch.

5. Cromer beach

With a sea view to die for along the top of the cliffs, this beautiful coastal town offers a more relaxed day than one you might find in the previous entry. 

Home to some of the best fresh crabs you can find thanks to the chalk reef, providing the crabs with lots of nutrients and making them sweet and succulent.
