A new homeware store "celebrating uniqueness" has officially thrown open its doors to city shoppers.
Lazy Lobster is the Royal Arcade's latest addition and is offering a range of products such as wall-mounted mirrors, soaps, candles, clothes, pots and plates.
It is the brainchild of friends Jodie Jenkins and Bria Williamson, who met while working in schools in Norfolk.
The store's theme is inspired by their shopping experiences in places like Brighton, Cambridge and London, promising stock will constantly change to meet ever-evolving trends.
Bria said: "Our brand will appeal to people who see themselves as individuals and don't follow the crowds.
"They appreciate products that are unique and are adventurous enough to try something new."
Central to the pair's core ethos is good design, they claim, which is reflected in the store's layout and colour scheme.
"We have spent quite a bit of time designing and fitting out our shop so that it will provide our customers with the 'wow' factor," Jodie said.
"To see it finished has given us an enormous amount of satisfaction and the Royal Arcade is such an iconic building."
Many of the products in-store are handmade or painted, sourced from small-scale suppliers from Norfolk and beyond.
"We're very excited about what we have on the shelves for our opening but the fun and beauty of our type of shop is that what we sell will change very quickly.
"We want people to feel inspired, expect the unexpected and to be delighted by the choice.
"We also know that running a shop is hard work but it has been a dream of ours for years so we are going to enjoy it."
Lazy Lobster is located in the former Langley's Toy Store unit and is open from 10am to 5pm Wednesday to Friday, 10am to 5.30pm on Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sunday.
