Neighbours have described the dramatic scenes on their estate as the body of a murder victim was discovered.
The victim was found dead from a single stab wound in a ground floor flat on Lefroy Road, Mile Cross, by police at about 10.40pm on Saturday.
Families living nearby say they heard the sounds of shouting and screaming shortly before the officers arrived.
Police have said that the victim, a 19-year-old from London, had been dead for eight days before his body was discovered.
Locals say the area has been used for drug dealing and raised concerns over the safety of the neighbourhood.
The stabbing is the second murder in Norwich in the space of two months after Oliver Payne died from a single stab wound in Paragon Place on August 2.

Police have yet to make an arrest in either case. They have said they do not believe the murders are linked.
Francesca Thompson, 32, who lives near the scene of the latest killing, said: "I heard lots of shouting and screaming, people saying ‘f*** off’ and that sort of thing.
“I don’t know how many people were involved but I couldn’t get to sleep until 3am because the police then turned up with their sirens and flashing lights. I didn’t see the tent until the morning.”
She added: “I can always smell weed coming from the flat and I've seen dealers go to the house.
“There’s nothing good going on in there.”
A police cordon remained in place at the scene on Monday afternoon.
Police have yet to give an update on their investigation but say they believe the killing was an "isolated" incident.
Detective Inspector David McCormack said officers did not believe there was any risk to the wider public.
However, the murder has led to fears on the Mile Cross estate.

Mrs Thompson added: "I’ve only just moved in and I already don’t feel safe here.
“I have a seven-year-old daughter who stays with her dad because I feel it’s too dangerous to bring her here.”
A man who lives in nearby Clarke Close and who wishes to remain nameless said he feared a woman was being killed when he heard "wails" coming from the Lefroy Road block late on Saturday.
And Aso Nazakat, 39, who has lived in his Lefroy Road flat for the past three years, added: “For the last year it has been constantly noisy and there’s been several fights, it’s been a real mess.
“It is a really bad area and people are trying to kill each other all the time.”
He added that cocaine, alcohol and hashish are a major problem in the estate.
“This is not a good place to live,” the Kurdish national said.
