Detectives are continuing to investigate the murder of a teenager in Norwich after his body was found on Saturday.

Emergency services were called to a group of flats in Lefroy Road in Mile Cross at 10.40pm after reports of a stabbing.

When officers arrived, they found the body of a man with a single stab wound.

Officers believe the murder was drug-related but that it was an "isolated" incident and is not linked to the murder at Paragon Place earlier this summer.

Here are seven questions that remain unanswered.

1. Who called the police?

Officers were called to Mile Cross on Saturday night to reports of the body at the property.

A spokesman for Norfolk Constabulary said: "Police attended and found the body rather than a member of the public."

It is not known how the member of the public knew the body was in the flat or if they were alerted to anything suspicious.

2. Was anyone seen in or near the flat in the eight days before the body was found?

Police revealed on Monday that the 19-year-old man died eight days before the body was found.

A Home Office post-mortem examination confirmed the teenager's death was consistent with a single stab wound to the chest.

Locals reported hearing shouting and screaming from the ground floor flat on Saturday evening, shortly before police officers turned up, although police believe this to be unrelated.

It is not known why it took eight days for the body to be found and if witnesses had seen people in the flat in the week after his death.

3. Did the victim live at the flat?

The victim has been identified as a 19-year-old man from London but he has not yet been named.

The reason for the victim being in Norwich is not clear and the permanent address of the victim has not been confirmed.

4. Was the victim known to police?

Officers believe the incident is related to drug activity although it is not known if officers were already aware of the victim or his involvement.

The crime echoes a similar drug-related incident which occurred in Norwich in August when a man was stabbed while using the underpass at Paragon Place.

This killer has still not been caught by police.

5. How long had the victim been in Norwich?

The victim has been confirmed to be from London although it is not understood where he permanently lived.

If his visit to Norwich was simply a trip, information on his journey to the city remains unknown.

6. How long will the cordon remain in place?

The police cordon was raised on Saturday with officers remaining at the scene four days later.

A forensic van was parked outside the property on Tuesday with officers seen going in and out of the ground-floor flat raising concern for locals on the estate.

A woman who has lived adjacent to the block for the last three years said: "People get scared, they get really scared and that's just half of it.

"They don't want to get caught up in something like that so they ignore it, especially when there's someone known for drugs."

It has not yet been confirmed how long the cordon will remain in place as officers continue their investigation.

7. Is there more than one killer?

Police have said little about the killer or killers, although have confirmed no arrests have been made.

A statement released by the force on Monday stated that "detectives are working to trace the suspects".

On Tuesday chief constable Paul Sanford said: "We’ve got a number of active lines of enquiry, our detectives are working incredibly hard.

"I am pleased with how we are progressing so far and we will provide further updates in the days ahead."
