Developers have purchased a plot of land with planning permission for 600 homes and work is set to start "imminently".  

Norfolk Homes Ltd bought the 97.16 acre site just west of the A140 in Long Stratton for an undisclosed sum.

The sale - co-ordinated by Savills - forms part of the wider Long Stratton development project which will see the construction of a £47m bypass around the town, 1,875 new homes, a school, sports pitches and community facilities.

This plot was granted planning permission for 600 homes in September 2023.

It was the first major planning permission with a nutrient neutrality mitigation strategy to be signed off in the county.

A Savills spokesman said work on the development would start "imminently".
