Two talented Norfolk chefs have been shortlisted for a prestigious industry award after being nominated by their peers.
Liam Nichols and Byron Franklin have both been nominated in the 'One to Watch' category of the 2024 Staff Canteen Awards.
Mr Nichols is the former head chef of STORE at Stoke Mill, while Mr Franklin is currently head chef at Mark Poynton at Caistor Hall.
A Norwich native, Mr Nichols is a former Hethersett High School pupil and started his career at The Wildebeest Arms in Stoke Holy Cross.
He then went on to work at restaurants in Melbourne and New York's Momofuku Ko, as well as Tom Kerridge's Bar and Grill in London.

In April he announced his last shift at the restaurant would be in August.
Mark Poynton opened his tasting-menu-only restaurant at Caistor Hall last year, appointing Byron Franklin as his head chef.

The winners will be announced at the 2024 Staff Canteen Awards ceremony in London on November 11.
