Trio will stand trial accused of Mile Cross murder next year

Leon Bangura, 22, Adam Dugdale, 55, and Carrie-Anne Hall, 51, have all been charged with murder after Kalvin Taylor was discovered dead in a ground-floor flat in Lefroy Road, Mile Cross, on September 21.

Mr Taylor, from London, is thought to have been dead for nearly a week before he was found. He had suffered a single stab wound on September 15.

Bangura, from London, Dugdale, of Shorncliffe Avenue, Norwich, and Hall, of Lodge Breck, Norwich, appeared at Norwich Crown Court on Wednesday (October 2).

Norwich Crown Court (Image: Peter Walsh, Newsquest) Judge Alice Robinson set a preliminary date of April 28 next year for a trial expected to last four weeks.

Appearing alongside Bangura, who has also been charged with threatening another person with an offensive weapon, possession of a bladed article, possession with intent to supply and being concerned in the supply of class A drugs, was fourth defendant Matthew Holmes.

Holmes, 51, of Bowthorpe Road, Norwich, has been charged with assisting an offender.

Bangura, Dugdale and Hall have all been remanded in custody while Holmes has been granted conditional bail.

As previously reported, arrests were made by police last week after the discovery of Mr Taylor's body at the flat in Mile Cross.

In a tribute, Mr Taylor's mother said her son's killing had "left our family in a million pieces".

She said: "Kalvin was a son, a grandson, a brother, a cousin and a friend to us all.

"We will remember and miss Kalvin all the days of our life.

"We love you Kalvin, rest in heavenly peace until we meet again."
