A man who pleaded guilty to three sex charges has been given a date for sentencing.

Benjamin Place, of Birkbeck Road, pleaded guilty to three separate charges when he appeared at Norwich Magistrates Court on July 12.

He arrived at Magistrates Court again on October 2 and has been committed to Norwich Crown Court, on unconditional bail, for November 4 at 10.30am.

During his hearing in July, Place was caught engaging in sexual communication with a child and was found to have pornographic images of animals on his computer.

A former student at Access Creative College in Magdalen Street, police investigated and seized Place's computer after a teacher became aware he was sending messages of a sexual nature to the victim.

There they found one prohibited image of a child, as well as eight images and one video of a person performing an act of intercourse with a wild animal, namely horses and dogs.

Place pleaded guilty to sexual communication with a child and possessing a prohibited image of a child and extreme pornographic images with animals.
