More than £12,000 has been raised in less than a week following the death of a young student and model who died last week.

Andreja Siaucilaite, 20, of Great Yarmouth passed away at her home in Admirals Quay last Tuesday.

Since her death, a Go Fund Me page was created in her memory by close friend, Lucas Jordan.

He said: “We are the closest friends of Andreja's just trying to do whatever we can to help her mum out with all the associated costs that will come while trying to give Andreja the send off she truly deserves.

“Any donation small or large will help and any money left over after the funeral will be shared amongst the charities that have helped Andreja with her battle.

“Anyone that knows Andreja will know how much of an amazing person and how much of an inspiration she was to everyone whose life she touched.”

So far, 661 donors have donated a total of £12,050 and dozens of floral tributes have been left outside of her home.

An inquest into her death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court, based at County Hall in Norwich, on Monday, October 7.

Details were given to senior coroner Jacqueline Lake who confirmed that Ms Siaucilaite’s body was identified by her mother.

The court also heard that she was born on February 24, 2004, in Lithuania.

She is believed to have been involved in the wedding industry including modelling wedding gowns for a photoshoot at The Priory 1101 in Great Yarmouth in 2022.

The medical cause of death following a post mortem examination was given as “fatal pressure on neck”.

A full inquest to determine the official cause of death will take place at the court next year.
