A car hire giant will be making its mark on the city outskirts soon after recent site plans were approved.
Enterprise Rent-a-Car had proposals for a new space including an office, wash bay, parking and storage given the green light earlier this week by Norwich City Council.
The new site sits to the east of the Hall Road roundabout, within the wider business park in Tuckswood, having long been empty and awaiting redevelopment.
In a statement from Enterprise's agent, Planning Prospects, it said the new site will: "Support the sustainable expansion of the business.
"It will also provide a sustainable transport solution for residents and workers as an alternative to private car ownership."
The main use of the location will be to store and display up to 50 rental vehicles.
To the back of the site will be a new office which will be used by staff to administer the vehicles.
There will also be a purpose built wash bay which Enterprise will use to clean, valet and prepare the vehicles for use by customers.
The new site will also generate a total of eight new jobs, with six management roles and two valet/drivers.

The statement also states: "Additional jobs will be created and sustained in supporting services and industries."
The site will be open Monday to Friday 7am to 10pm, Saturday 7am to 10pm and Sundays
and Bank Holidays 7am to 10pm.

A separate application was also submitted and subsequently approved for the display of three illuminated pylon signs, a two-sided three-bay mounted car club sign, one illuminated two-sided directional monument sign and four illuminated fascia signs.
The council says work must begin on the development within three years of the application's approval.
Enterprise can be found in more than 9,500 locations across nearly 100 countries.
