Plans have been submitted to extend and convert a property on the outskirts of the city into a house of multiple occupancy (HMO).
Kishan Dattani submitted the proposal for the house, in Wycliffe Road, to the Norwich City Council on Monday.
The existing two-storey property is currently used as a five-bed HMO but the proposal involves converting it into a larger eight-bed HMO.
This includes a rear extension to include eight single bedrooms.
The plan also proposes the demolition of the existing sheds in the back garden and the creation of eight off-street parking spaces.
The proposal from the agent, HMO Architect, states: "The proposal seeks to provide a comfortable and spacious residential accommodation.
"All while keeping an appearance coherent with the surrounding properties along Wycliffe Road.
"The proposed scheme meets all local regulations."
In August this year neighbours banded together to stop a similar conversion of a home, off Newmarket Road, into a 10-bed HMO.
More than 20 people objected to the plans citing concerns around an increase in parking and traffic issues, as well as altering the character of the area.
One objector said: "The whole application is an insult to everyone and for financial benefit.

"There's no care for the impact of every person who will have to live in and around such a concept."
Another added: "The approval of this application would bring about the avenue's first truly transient residents and alter the very fabric of the neighbourhood."

Five days later the application was withdrawn.
The Wycliffe Road property sits just a stone's throw away from the popular Eaton Park.
Those wishing to comment on the new application have until October 29, with an internal recommendation date by the case officer of December 2.
