A mysterious green laser has been spotted sweeping across the skies above Norwich.
The beam of light was first seen on Monday and immediately sparked speculation among those living in the NR1 area.
City folk's theories about the laser included everything from it being a Draconid meteor shower, a light at the Norfolk Showground or even the work of aliens.
But now the mystery has been solved after the laser was traced back to a local fireworks shop known for getting into the bonfire night spirit early.
Each year Trafalgar Fireworks in Trafalgar Street counts down to November 5 by beaming a laser into the sky every night until the big day.

But this year the owner of the store Warren Thomas said that he was surprised that anyone could even see the trademark laser.
"Last year we had a 7,500 watts sky scanner," the 59-year-old said. "But it was too expensive so the new one is only 10 watts.
"I was a bit disappointed with it at first so it makes me happy that people have seen it. I'm surprised that it's so visible.
"My goal was for it to look like a mini Pink Floyd concert."
