Permission is being sought to sell booze and host a new live music festival at a park next to the UEA.
The James Dean Events Group is asking City Hall to allow it to run the inaugural Norwich Cider & Music Festival at Earlham Park.
It will have live acts performing amplified music, wrestling with trained professionals and the sale of alcohol, most notably craft cider.
A VIP area will include a private bar, toilets and an "undercover chill-out area".

If approved, it would run from 12pm to 11pm across a weekend next June.
To have the application approved, the James Dean Events Group said it will install crowd control barriers and fencing around the site, as well as hire security to oversee the "family-friendly" event.
No glass will be permitted on the grounds either, being served in shatterproof plastic cups or cans instead.
Despite the event name, it is not connected to the Sausage and Cider Festival which is held annually at The Halls in the city centre.
