Norfolk Coroner's Court opened an inquest into the death of a man where there were "concerns for his safety".
Gary Wordingham was born on July 14, 1962 in London but died at his home in Dolphin Grove, Norwich on August 21.
A report read out by senior coroner, Samantha Goward, stated the 62-year-old was identified to police by his "neighbour of 10 years Chantelle Foster".
She added: "Mr Wordingham was found deceased at home following concerns for his safety.

"Police and ambulance attended and discovered him there."
The doctor's report stated the medical cause of death as multiple drug toxicity, cirrhosis of the liver and coronary artery atherosclerosis - also known as coronary heart disease.
Reports have been requested from police, GP, Change Grow Live (CGL), mental health services and next of kin.
The inquest has been set for March 5, 2025.
