After celebrating its 50th anniversary one city barbers is proving it is here for the long haul - and there is plenty of life in the 'old dog' yet.
Croppers, or Old Dog as it is also known, has been a popular choice for men of all ages in Norwich since it was set up by Nick Bunn in 1974.
Initially in a rented property in Lower Goat Lane, the barbers moved to its current St Gregory's Alley site in 1976.
Nick's son Steve, who has taken over the running of the salon with Mike Nicholson, held a party to celebrate the milestone with customers and barbers from past and present.
The packed event, held last month, included a DJ and bar.
Steve, 45, said he was "very grateful to all the staff who have worked with us in the salon", adding they were a "big part of why we've been successful over the past 50 years".
He said he felt "humbled" by the event and seeing so many people who have been involved with the business - both customers and staff - made it a "really lovely night".
He said they felt "proud to be part of the 50 year club in Norwich".
Such is the popularity of the barbers that they have had to turn away some pretty famous clients over the years, including Liam Gallagher. The Oasis frontman tried to get a quick trim before the Mancunian rockers played a gig in Norwich in the 1990s.
Founder Nick, now 72, was there to mark the anniversary.
Steve said: "It couldn't really have happened without him.
"He's the main guy and the one who started it all and we're just helping to carry it on.
"He's the guy who deserves most of the respect for it being a success - we're happy to be part of his legacy".
