Drivers will face more closures on the A47 in the coming weeks.

They are part of a major £250 million project to turn the five-mile stretch from North Tuddenham to Easton into a dual carriageway.

Disruption should be expected in several phases until 2027 when the work is set for completion.

Between 8pm and 6am from October 22 to October 24, one lane will be closed and temporary traffic lights will be in place between Taverham Road and the Easton roundabout.

Norwich Road and Lyng Road in North Tuddenham will be fully closed from October 28 to November 1, between 7.30am and 5pm.

This is while National Highways starts preparation work for the new Lyng Road junction with the A47. 

A fully signed diversion route will be in place during this period.

Eastbound traffic will be sent via Norwich Road, Pound Lane, Hall Road and Peaseland Green.

Westbound traffic will travel along Heath Road, Back Lane, Elsing Road, Hall Road and Pound Lane.
