Site workers at a Sprowston housing development dressed in pink PPE to support Breast Cancer Now.

The Barratt and David Wilson Homes team at Woodland Heath on Salhouse Road swapped their usual hard hats and high visibility jackets for bright pink equivalents.

They did this in support of the 'wear it pink' campaign, which has raised over £41 million for Breast Cancer Now since its inception more than 20 years ago.

The charity funds cutting-edge research across the UK and Ireland, aiming to ensure all those with breast cancer live well-supported lives by 2050.

In addition to donning the vibrant gear, Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia also donated £200 to the charity.

Simon Wood, managing director at Barratt and David Wilson Homes Anglia, said: “As a leading housebuilder, it’s extremely important to us to support charities and communities in the areas in which we build new homes.

"We hope our donation will support the charity to continue with its important work.

“Our construction team had a lot of fun getting to wear the pink PPE for the day, and we hope this will have sparked a lot of conversations on site to raise awareness of the campaign and Breast Cancer Now’s work.”

Breast Cancer Now estimates more than 55,000 people are diagnosed with breast cancer each year in the UK.

Woodland Heath, located on the outskirts of Norwich, comprises a selection of three and four-bedroom homes, priced from £302,995.

The development is set within 15 acres of green open space and offers easy access to a range of amenities, including leisure facilities, shops, and restaurants.
