Three "outstanding" restaurants in and around Norwich hold three coveted AA Rosettes for culinary excellence. 

The long-established scheme celebrates top-notch cooking across the UK. 

Rosettes, with a maximum of five available, are awarded following one or more visits from an AA inspector.

Restaurants with three AA Rosettes "achieve standards that demand recognition well beyond their local area" and are described as "outstanding".

1. Benedicts, Norwich

This award-winning restaurant in St Benedicts Street is run by chef Richard Bainbridge, who won BBC Two’s Great British Menu in 2015, and his wife Katja.

On offer are seasonal tasting menus, set lunches and suppers, with vegetarian and vegan options available.

2. Roger Hickman's Restaurant, Norwich

This long-running restaurant is nestled at the edge of the Norwich Lanes in Upper St Giles Street and the offering includes set lunches and tasting menus. 

Hickman earned his culinary stripes at the same address when it was home to the Michelin-starred Adlard's.

3. The Wildebeest, Stoke Holy Cross

Located on the outskirts of the city, The Wildebeest along Norwich Road is a fine dining restaurant with a rustic feel. 

The head chef is Fabio Miani and chef-patron Daniel Smith is also behind The Ingham Swan, near Stalham, which holds three AA Rosettes too.
