A popular New York-style sandwich shop is expanding once again as it moves to the streets.

The Bodega launched in the Norwich Market in 2022 to a warm welcome - making a splash in the city food scene and winning the best newcomer prize at the Norfolk Food and Drink Awards in its first year.

Since then, the street food stall has expanded to Yalm food hall, The Cottage pub in NR3 and a selection of events and pop-ups.

Owner and chef Edd Watkinson said: " I originally got the idea from Chris from Christophes Crepes who was talking about doing an ice-cream sandwich bike in the summer.

"It's an ongoing joke with my friends that I just can't say no when I get offered something interesting.

"I thought we could do something similar but we could do it all year round.

Along with making the cheese toasties, the bike can make any of the usual Bodega classics.

The bike had its first outing last weekend at The Bazaar event at the Moosey Art Gallery.
