A man whose son died after suffering neglect as a hospital patient has been found dead in a body of water less than two miles from his home.
Benjamin Begley's body was found submerged off Pedham Road near the village of Pedham earlier this month.
An inquest into his death opened at Norfolk Coroner's Court on Tuesday, which heard he was 65 years old when he died.
The court was told his body was recovered from the water on Wednesday, October 16 - less than two miles from his home in Blofield.
Mr Begley, who was born in Norwich, was the father of Lewis Begley, who died almost four years ago while being treated at Chatterton House in King's Lynn.
Lewis was 35 years old when he died in December 2020.

At the time he was being treated as an inpatient at the mental health hospital, but was found unresponsive in his bedroom.
It later emerged that he had twice gained access to the hospital's medicine room in the hours leading up to his tragedy.
Following a seven-day inquest into his death held in September 2022, a jury concluded Lewis had suffered neglect during the course of his treatment.
He was being treated at the facility having been detained under the mental health act and after entering undetected in its drug store, consumed a quantity of unprescribed medication.
It was concluded by the jury that he had died as a result of misadventure - but that neglect had played a part in his death.
Following the hearing, senior coroner Jacqueline Lake served a report to prevent future deaths on the Norfolk and Suffolk NHS Foundation Trust, which resulted in the organisation bringing in a new pharmacy boss to help stop similar occurrences.
Area coroner Yvonne Blake adjourned Mr Begley's inquest until April next year.
