Three months on from a fatal daylight stabbing in a city estate a murderer remains on the run.

Police say they have spoken to more than 35 witnesses in their attempt to find the person who stabbed Oliver Payne to death in Paragon Place.

The killing happened in the busy estate, near Grapes Hill, on a warm evening on August 2.

But the suspect, who cops have confirmed they believe is out of the county, still has not been found.
